| William Kennedy is the author of the Pulitzer-Prize winning novel Ironweed and, most recently, Roscoe, which was called one of the seven best books of the year by the New York Times Book Review. Kennedy's "Albany cycle" is a collection of seven interconnected novels depicting Albany during the 1930s.
